Leadership Appoints Cletus Akwaya As Group Managing Director

In its on-going repositioning programme to take advantage of emerging opportunities, the Board of LEADERSHIP GROUP has approved the appointment of Dr Cletus Akwaya as the Group Managing Director.

Dr Akwaya whose appointment takes effect from today will lead a team of forward – looking professionals in a transformation programme aimed at maximizing the market potentials of the titles in the LEADERSHIP stable and the media subsidiaries.

Akwaya, a former commissioner of Information in Benue State (2005-2007), the new Group Managing Director also served as Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the Benue State Government from 2007-2015. Prior to this appointment, he was heading a firm of Media and Public Relations Consultancy, Cletus & George Ltd. in Abuja and wrote a weekly column on Sundays (World Panorama) in ThisDay.
